Fees
Newborn Care
At NAP Care, our private paediatricians provide comprehensive paediatric specialist services for newborns, ensuring the highest level of care from the very beginning. Our team provides neonatal care through Mater Mothers’ Private, Brisbane, including through their Maternity Service, Special Care Nursery (SCN) and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
Our newborn care services encompass a range of essential medical assessments and support. This includes attending the birth to provide immediate care, conducting thorough medical assessments, and performing daily subsequent checks to monitor your baby’s health and development.
For families, it’s important to note that fees for newborn care will be billed to you personally if your baby remains with you in your hospital room. However, if your baby requires specialised care and is admitted to the SCN or NICU, these fees will be covered directly by your chosen private health fund for the duration of your baby’s stay.
For any hospital bills not covered by your private insurance, an itemised invoice will be sent to you via email following your child’s discharge, along with the information for their 6-week postnatal appointment in our private consultation rooms.
Please contact our rooms if you would like more information about our private hospital fees.
Paediatrics Hospital Admission Care
In addition to our comprehensive newborn care, we collaborate closely with Mater Children’s Private, Brisbane, to provide specialised hospital services for babies, children, and adolescents. Our partnership ensures that young patients receive seamless, high-quality care tailored to their unique needs during hospital admissions.
When your child is admitted to Mater Children’s Private Brisbane, they will benefit from our dedicated team of paediatric specialists. From routine check-ups and medical assessments to more complex treatments and interventions, we provide a full spectrum of paediatric services to support your child’s health and well-being.
For patients admitted to Mater Children’s Private Brisbane, all fees for the specialist services provided will be billed directly through your private health insurance. This process ensures that your child’s care is both accessible and financially manageable, allowing you to focus on their recovery and well-being.
In-Room Consultation Care
At NAPCare, we are dedicated to providing comprehensive in-room consultation care for postnatal/post-discharge reviews and new patient appointments.
After your child is discharged, our team will reach out to schedule a postnatal 6-week or follow-up review in our consultation rooms. This appointment will be with the paediatrician who provided their initial care, ensuring continuity and familiarity. If your original paediatrician is somehow unavailable, we will arrange for an appointment with another experienced paediatrician on our team, ensuring your child continues to receive the highest level of care and support during this important period.
New Patient Care
For new patients, we offer thorough initial and follow-up consultations to understand your child’s health needs and medical history. Our paediatricians take the time to conduct detailed assessments and provide personalised care management plans.
Developmental Care
We specialise in developmental assessments to support children’s growth and developmental milestones. Our paediatricians are experienced in evaluating a range of developmental concerns, including speech and language delays, motor skill development, social and emotional growth, and learning difficulties. We have an extensive list of allied health professionals we work closely with to provide referrals for specific concerns. Whether your child requires speech therapy, occupational therapy, or psychological support, we ensure that they have access to the best care tailored to their unique developmental needs.
Developmental assessment appointments are comprehensive and may include a series of consultations, developmental screenings, and detailed evaluations to accurately identify your child’s needs. These assessments are tailored to each child and involve close collaboration with parents to develop an effective and individualised care plan.
Behavioural Care
We provide comprehensive behavioural assessments and diagnostic services to help identify and manage a range of developmental and behavioural conditions, including ADHD, ADD, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and other related concerns.
Our experienced paediatricians use evidence-based methods and a multidisciplinary approach to ensure accurate diagnoses and personalised care plans tailored to each child’s unique needs.
Behavioural assessment and diagnostic appointments typically involve a series of consultations, in-depth evaluations, and the completion of specific developmental and behavioral questionnaires. Due to the comprehensive nature of these assessments, fees for behavioural appointments may vary based on the duration and complexity of the evaluation process.
Payments
To ensure the highest standard of care, we require full payment for consultations on the day of your appointment. Payment can be made via credit card or EFTPOS.
For hospital invoices, payments can be made through the bank details provided on the invoice. Alternatively, you can settle the hospital invoice during your postnatal appointment in our consultation rooms. We strive to make the payment process as straightforward and flexible as possible to accommodate your needs.
Our fee schedule was created by our clinic directors who are doctors themselves, with an aim to provide affordable out-of-pocket expenses to patients while remaining viable for the doctor’s themselves, and factoring in their experience and training.
Medicare Rebates
If you are eligible for Medicare and have a valid referral, rebates are available for all our services. We can facilitate Medicare online claiming on your behalf, making the process convenient and hassle-free
